GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIP: FRESHMAN ACADEMIC ADVISING

Freshman Academic Advising Services is seeking applications from graduate students interested in receiving an assistantship to serve as an academic advisor for FAU’s freshmen. 

 

We are looking for graduate advisors who share our vision of providing a supportive and nurturing environment for freshmen.  Advisors will be thoroughly trained on University policies and procedures, programs and requirements, special needs of freshmen and advising techniques.

GSA Student Leadership Opportunities:

*Doctoral Candidate needed to attend University Graduate Council meetings with   the GSA Director: These meetings consist of the Dean of Graduate Studies and faculty representatives from each college.  The UGC is designed to address policies and issues pertaining to the graduate student community at FAU. 

*Student representation from each college needed. This will present the opportunity to communicate with students, faculty, and various other members of administration in your respective college, in order to report concerns to the GSA for resolution.
