The Graduate Research Symposium is an annual event held by the GSA during the spring semester. It gives graduate students an opportunity to present some of their recent work to a diversified audience. This event is held in conjunction with the Division of Research and Graduate Studies, and those students chosen to present their work are rewarded for their efforts.

In Spring 2004, some 20 students submitted abstracts to be considered for the symposium. Of those 20, 5 were selected to present. Winners were awarded with a certificate of excellence in research.
